Our client is a reputable mid-size Exploration & Production company based in Eastern Kazakhstan who is currently looking for an experienced HR Manager or Director level candidate to join them on a long-term staff basis. The business is 100 per cent privately owned with a blend of both expat and local office based personnel. This is a truly exceptional opportunity for a local experienced HR professional.
Ideally we would like to find a HR Generalist who can step in and help to run the HR department on a day to day basis as well as long-term on a more strategic level. Together with line managers develop HR strategies and solve the long-term staff planning and other HR issues.
The candidate will take over the HR department reporting into the Deputy General Director as well as a Deputy Director. On top of the above mentioned duties you will be responsible for Payroll, Coms & Bens, recruitment and other relevant responsibilities dealing with both expat and local staff.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience expected:
Degree educated, ideally holding MSc or PhD in Human Resource.
10+ years of experience in various areas of human resources, with at least 4-5 years in Managerial roles across large and complex organisations.
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels, engaging and inspiring at senior levels internally and externally.
Experience of HR practices through applied professional qualifications, e.g. Degree, CIPD
Experience of managing professional HR teams, driving performance through people.
Broad understanding of the ?people’ issues impacting the Oil & Gas sector.
Good understanding of the client’s business and the commercial environment.
Strong cultural awareness specifically within Kazakhstan region.
Strong Russian and English language knowledge.
Work schedule and remuneration package:
Residential basis out of Eastern Kazakhstan.
A long-term position with opportunities to grow the unit.
Role has around 25 reports from various business functions.
